On a day when we were supposed to get another pointless showdown between President Trump and former Vice President Biden, we are launching our second push to build a grassroots, cross-partisan force that can open up the presidential debates to all ballot-qualified candidates.
The duopoly’s Commission on Presidential Debates is losing control of the story.
This is our chance to raise our voices together and break through the noise.
Whether it’s the corrupt CPD, or self-serving networks like ABC, NBC, Fox, CNN, or CBS, when self-appointed gatekeepers set the stage of political debate, they’re doing far more than impacting a one-off forum that voters may or may not tune into. They’re setting the stage upon which our elections are run and decided. They control the entire bounds of the political conversation. They determine political reality. Instead of the voters deciding elections, we have unaccountable gatekeepers deciding elections for us.
It is self-evident that this is intolerable. Yet election after election, We the People tolerate it because we are almost completely in the dark about who the gatekeepers are, how they get away with it, and, worst of all, that it’s even happening in the first place.
This is where you come in.
Through whatever political background you’ve worked through, you are not in the dark. And you are not alone. Over 32,000 people have signed our petition to open the debates. Over 10,000 have joined our network. There are many more thousands of Americans just like you, that are also not in the dark. They just haven’t been presented a clear path for opening up the system, or an organized effort to mobilize the disillusioned and disgusted legions who are fed up with the duopoly’s false binary nonsense. Beyond those several million whose eyes are wide open, there are upwards up 175,000,000 Americans who believe in the basic fairness of debates that include all ballot-qualified candidates.
Today, we are launching our second “Democracy Day Money Bomb” to open up the presidential debates and open up the national political conversation to more voices and better choices.
Your voice is needed at this defining moment in U.S. history. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the founding of the nation in 2026, it is more important than ever that we take the mythology of government of, by, and for the people quite literally, and take matters into our own hands. It is up to you, it is up to each of us, to start working across political, partisan, social, economic, and cultural divides to change the game.
We need to find ways to raise our voices together so they can’t get away with ignoring us any longer. We need to turn up the volume, turn up the creativity, and turn up the collaboration in order to break the sound barrier for our silent supermajority.
In order to do this together, we have 3 asks for you to consider — 3 simple calls to action that can quickly build a critical mass of voices that can break through the noise (SO. MUCH. NOISE):
Donate today. Just $3. Or more. This campaign is averaging $37 donations but we’re looking for 1,000 donors of any size. We’re aiming for large numbers of small donors to demonstrate our collective impact.
Volunteer today. One hour a week or fifty. Or anywhere in between. We’re looking for 1,000 volunteers so we can start to shift the larger narrative, together.
Share your voice. OK, this one’s a little less simple, but it may be the most important ask. Record a short video telling your friends and your fellow Americans what you hope to see change in the country by July 4, 2026. Why are opening up our political debates and our political system relevant to that vision? Why do you think it’s important to raise our voices together? Keep it short. 20-40 seconds. Share it in the Facebook event, share it on social, but be sure to get it to us as well and we will share it on our channels and make a compilation too.
With the duopoly losing control of the narrative, it’s time for us to inject our voices together. Let’s show the way forward for a truly United States of America.
